1. Who we are

MK Group Agency (“MK Group”, “we”, “us”) is a corporate brand and communications consultancy based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We provide brand identity, web development, marketing strategy and corporate profiling services to clients across East Africa.

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website (mkgroup.co.tz) and in the course of our client engagements. It applies to visitors, prospective clients, clients, suppliers and job applicants.

2. Information we collect

Enquiry details. When you contact us through the website, by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we collect your name, work email, telephone number, organisation and the contents of your message or brief.

Engagement information. If you become a client, we hold the information needed to deliver the work: contact details for your team, contracts, project briefs, brand assets and correspondence.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand aggregate usage; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and our services are directed at businesses and institutions.

3. How we use your information

To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals, scopes of work and quotations.

To deliver contracted services, manage projects and communicate with your team.

To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations under Tanzanian law.

To send occasional service-related communications. We do not operate marketing mailing lists without your consent, and we never sell personal information.

4. Lawful basis and consent

We process personal information on the basis of your consent (when you submit an enquiry), the performance of a contract (when we deliver services), and our legitimate interest in operating and securing our business. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information is shared only where necessary:

With trusted service providers who support our operations (for example website hosting and email), under obligations of confidentiality.

With production or specialist partners involved in your engagement, only to the extent required to deliver the work.

Where required by law, regulation or a lawful request by authorities in Tanzania or another competent jurisdiction.

6. Data retention

Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to 24 months so we can continue a conversation if you return. Client records are retained for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for the period required by Tanzanian tax and company law. Information no longer needed is securely deleted.

7. Security

Access to personal information is restricted to the consultants working on your matter. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to a professional services firm, including access controls on our email, storage and project systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; if you share sensitive material with us, agree a transfer method with your consultant first.

8. Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion where we have no legal obligation to retain it. 9. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites, including our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
